Grading
All grading is done by TheMusic.com's expert curators. Grading is only done on a visual basis. We do not play any of the material; thus, we cannot audio grade. Therefore, we cannot guarantee sonics of any material. However, through a careful visual inspection our curators determine grading using the following scale:

SS still sealedthese are original factory seals and not rewraps
M minthardly played but open
M- mint-played some but not much, no visible marks from handling
VG+ very good+played but taken care of excellently
VG very goodplayed and may show some light wear
VG- very good-played and may have some very light surface scratches
G+ good+played and probably shows some wear and scratches
G goodto the point of well played and shows wear and scratches
G- good-getting to a lot of play and poor handling
F+ fair+heavy wear and scratches but probably doesn't skip
F fairheavy wear and surface noise, with scratches
F- fair-heavy wear and scratches that will probably cause skips
P pooryou are buying this record for its rarity, not sound quality*



Manufacturing blemishes in the vinyl can cause grades to be lowered.

Our goal is to make your shopping experience as simple and easy as possible. We accept several different methods of payment and choices. And our online order process is secure.

1. Paying online with your Credit Card
We accept:

All payments are made in U.S. dollars. Your Credit Card will be authorized at the time the order is place, but will not be charged until the item is shipped. If your Credit Card is denied at the time of authorization, you will receive a message. If the credit card is denied during processing, you will be notified via email. We do verify each credit card to protect our customers from credit card fraud. In some cases we will not accept a credit card as payment if there are certain discrepancies in the information. In these cases you will be contacted via email or by phone to make alternate payment arrangements. If we cannot contact you, the order will be cancelled.

We realize that some customers are concerned about Credit Card safety on line. We understand that concern, so we encrypt your Credit Card number and store it in a secure database protected by a firewall. The transmission of this information is also secure, using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology verified by Thawte.

2. Living outside the United States
We do accept International orders. International orders can be paid on-line with:

3. Buying or paying offline with a Credit Card
Is not possible. All credit card orders are processed through our secure gateway, online. If you're concerned about entering your payment info onto a website, then your only option is to order and pay with a Money Order. See below.

4. Buying and paying offline with a Money Order
You can pay with a money order, but you will need to register and place an order online. When, in the process, you're asked for your credit card information press the "Skip" button. This will automatically delegate all your orders to be paid by Money Order. Finish the "Check Out" process and print your confirmed order. You will need to print that order and mail it (along with the Money Order) to:

You will still need to fill in your billing information in case we need to contact you for any reason. We cannot process your order until after we've received your payment and our bank has cleared it. Availability is subject to change. Items cannot be reserved for pending mail orders.



Shipping options
TheMusic.com can ship items just about anywhere in the world. However, please keep in mind that some countries outside of the U.S. may not allow certain items into the country. All international duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

Domestic orders will ship via UPS, DHL and USPS
International orders will ship via DHL and International Mail

While the USPS is an excellent service for normal first class mail and some priority shipments, it has been our experience that if items are lost or damaged they are harder to track and also to insure. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.



Returns / exchanges / cancellations

New Software Product (CDs, DVDs vinyl, etc.)
TheMusic.com will only replace manufacturing defects. All returns and exchanges must be pre-approved by a Customer Service representative before returning to TheMusic.com. Please visit our contact section for more information on contacting us. All returns and exchanges must be in new condition, accompanied with a note including the Invoice Number and stating the precise reason for the return. TheMusic.com will replace a manufacturer's defective disc with a pre-checked non-defective disc of same title, after we verify the reason for the return. TheMusic.com reserves the right to deem what is defective and what is not. If deemed not defective TheMusic.com will return your item to you explaining why we have reached such a decision. In the event TheMusic.com is unable to replace a defective disc with the same title, a credit for exchange only will be given toward other product(s) in TheMusic.com current catalog. No returns or exchanges will be accepted on open product that is not defective. In the case that an ordered product is no longer available, your order will be adjusted and any appropriate refunds will be issued.

All sales are FINAL. No Refunds cash or credit card refunds.

All TheMusic.com shipments are insured. In the event that you receive product(s) that is damaged during shipping, a claim will be filed on your behalf with the freight carrier. Replacements will be sent once claim has been settled. Please note that if product is damaged due to shipping, the original packaging must be saved and may be requested to by the freight carrier for pick-up.

TheMusic.com will not reimburse freight charges for any returns to TheMusic.com.

Used Software (Vinyl, CDs, etc.)
Used products are sold as is and based on the grading system. In the event that an ordered product is no longer available, your order will be adjusted and any appropriate refunds will be issued.

Hardware Equipment (this policy excludes software [CDs, LPs, DVDs, etc.])

Return for refund or replacement within: 30 days Merchandise may be returned:

      a) within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund, or

      b) within 30 days of the original invoice date for a replacement (or repair) of the same item, at the discretion of TheMusic.com.

All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. Returns sent to TheMusic.com’s warehouse without having been assigned an RMA number will not be accepted.

All items returned for a refund are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

All items returned must be in the same condition as when sold or additional fees will be levied.

After this 30 day period, manufacturers’ warranty terms and conditions will apply, with replacement or repair then at the discretion of the manufacturer or distributor.

Other situations with specific details that differ from these basic situations above will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

NOTE: In all cases involving the return of products, shipping charges (both to and from the customer) are totally at the expense of the customer, and are not refundable.

Creating a user account by registering is a required step in the order placement process. Registering provides access to stored information such as frequent shipping addresses you set up and wish lists. It just makes your shopping experience a little less hassle free.

When you checkout, you won't have to fill in most of the question fields because the information has been stored for you.
